diederendirrix designed the apartment complex commissioned by BrabantWonen. The apartments are meant for those seeking a home that are 55 years and older and in need of additional care.
Eindhoven, 25 September 2014- The complex is situated along the Churchilllaan in Den Bosch in a special ‘green’ zone dedicated to providing divers amenities, and it also has views of the Beatrixpark. The homes are reached through a central, interior atrium, enabling the same appearance on all sides of the building. Additionally, there is no circulation space needed on the exterior of the building, freeing the facade to optimise views, exterior space and natural light for the homes. The decision to make white facades with large window openings gives the building a very friendly and inviting appearance. The building has 5 residential floors with 28 three-room apartments and 5 two-room apartments. On the ground floor there is a common room. Each apartment has its own balcony or terrace and a private parking space on site. The residents received their keys early July, and this past 4 September a festive opening of the complex took place, together with the residents.
