HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwired) -- Jul 25, 2014 -- Intergraph has published a new case study that describes how Fichtner Consulting Engineers (India) Private Limited (Fichtner-Mumbai) leveraged the capabilities of Intergraph CAESAR II for pipe stress analysis interfacing with CADWorx for the design of the piping model on a complex captive power plant project in Tamil Nadu, India for JSW Salem Works. The detail engineering included seven boilers and main piping that totaled 4,805 feet (1,465 meters) that had to withstand 100 bar pressure at 520 degrees Celsius. As each boiler was added, the piping in the existing was not being replaced which meant that the design accuracy made possible with CAESAR II and CADWorx was critical to Fichtner-Mumbai's success on the project.
