CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – July 7, 2014 – Acentech Inc., a nationally recognized multi-disciplinary acoustics, audiovisual systems design, and vibration consulting firm, announced that it has been selected by Philadelphia-based Watchdog Real Estate Project Managers to provide consulting services for two office projects in Philadelphia. Acentech is providing architectural acoustics, sound isolation, and mechanical system noise and vibration consulting for the headquarters office fit-out of law firm Cozen O’Connor, and audiovisual systems design for the new corporate headquarters building of Franklin Square Capital Partners.
“During the procurement process, multiple vendors were interviewed and based on the selection criteria, it was decided that Acentech brings the expertise and client-focused approach needed to deliver each of these projects,” said Caitlyn Roddy, FMP, project coordinator at Watchdog Real Estate Project Managers. “We are pleased to have Acentech as a part of the project team on these two headquarters projects.”
Cozen O’Connor
One of the largest law firms in the United States, Cozen O’Connor is relocating its firm headquarters to 200,000 SF of space at One Liberty Place in the Center City district of Philadelphia. The firm, whose Philadelphia headquarters is home to 215 attorneys and 350 staff members, will take eight floors of the building, the second largest office building in the city.
Working with Watchdog and architecture firm Gensler, Acentech is providing architectural acoustics, sound isolation, and mechanical system noise and vibration consulting for the fit-out of Cozen’s space, which includes private and open office areas, conference rooms, and a multi-purpose/training room. Goals for the project include speech privacy for the offices and conference rooms, and the design and selection of room finishes for controlling noise between adjacent spaces. Acentech’s consultants are also providing recommendations for controlling mechanical systems noise and vibration. The project is expected to be complete in the summer of 2015.
Franklin Square Capital Partners
Franklin Square Capital Partners (Franklin Square), an investment management firm, is relocating its corporate headquarters from downtown Philadelphia to a new building in the city’s Navy Yard Corporate Center at 201 Rouse Boulevard. Developed by Liberty Property Trust/Synterra Partners, designed by DIGSAU, and under construction by Turner Construction Company, the new 80,050 SF, Class A office building comprises four stories and includes natural light-filled floor plans, “town square” work spaces, state-of-the-art conference facilities, a multi-use wellness facility, and a health food-focused café.
Franklin Square’s goal is to provide its employees with easy to use, leading edge technology to support the firm’s high-performance, innovative and collaborative culture. Acentech is assisting Watchdog and Francis Cauffman architects in creating a wide variety of audiovisual systems for Franklin Square’s new space. System types include boardroom presentation with HD conferencing and 4K display, HD video streaming and video on demand server, a 3x2 video wall in the café, multi-zone audio system in the fitness center, and multiple collaborative meeting spaces with interactive displays and conferencing. The selected technologies will allow Franklin Square to efficiently and effectively communicate with colleagues and partners inside and outside the organization when the building is complete in early 2015.
