Meet Morphi™, the intuitive 3D modeling + design app for all, now available for iPad and iPad mini!

NEW YORK, May 28, 2014 — (PRNewswire) — The Inventery, Inc., a NY start-up, today announced the release of Morphi™, its intuitive 3D modeling and design app for the iPad and iPad mini. Morphi moves the 3D modeling and printing world forward with its simplicity, usability and artistry.

Morphi is a simple, tactile modeling and design app that reimagines the world of 3D modeling. It was inspired by the global tradition of creating with hands and built specifically for touchscreen.

Users explore libraries of unique 3D shapes, elegant text and vibrant colors. Using these libraries and basic but powerful tools, users can create 3D printable models. Models can be exported in .STL format for uploading to 3D printers using third-party slicing software or printing through 3D printing services.

The app has many uses including creating prototypes, making functional and decorative products, building models to teach STEAM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art + Math) and much more.

Morphi makes 3D modeling and printing easier and more enjoyable for people of all skill levels and educational backgrounds.

The app's 3D modeling space is a changeable, welcoming environment. The background converts from blue sky to starry night and the grid from lined space to granite. Toolbars can be hidden for more room to create. The grid moves easily with fingers or grid controllers. Since blank spaces can be challenging, the app opens into a gallery of models. For additional inspiration, users can explore and download 3D designs using the ideas button.

Developed in collaboration with Geometros using sgCore, Morphi offers an incredible range of shapes, from basic to Platonic solids. Several shapes have additional hidden features to be uncovered while creating in the app.

Powerful modeling tools (like rotate, resize, subtract, group) are simplified and streamlined. This allows users to elegantly and efficiently add, subtract and position objects to build 3D models. User-friendly alignment tools also provide quick left, right and center object placement.

The app offers free basic tools and additional features for in-app purchase. More shapes, text, colors and tools will be offered to expand the design possibilities.

Short, fun tutorials are embedded in the app so users can master the art of 3D modeling in Morphi.
