graphIT Ltd. announced SmartTalk library - Visual material flow programming embedded into Plant Simulation

May 20, 2014 – graphIT Ltd. – the leading CAD/CAM/PLM solution provider on the Hungarian market today announced SmartTalk – the easy to use visual programming – library for Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation. The announcement was is Stuttgart on the 1st Worldwide Plant Simulation User Conference

graphIT Ltd. is the Hungarian reseller of Siemens PLM products, focusing on NX, Teamcenter, Tecnomatix and Solid Edge. graphIT Ltd. has more than 1000 customers on the Hungarian market from different industries. graphIT Ltd. has strong development and customization background for all Siemens PLM products, the first customization, which is available on the global market is the Plant Simulation SmartTalk Library.

The Plant Simulation SmartTalk library helps non-experts to create more detailed models with Plant Simulation without the need to learn the full programming of the system. SmartTalk library was designed with the simplicity in mind. The goal was to give similar feeling of the Plant Simulation programming as using Excel equations.

The target customers of SmartTalk library:

  • Non-experts and occasional users of Plant Simulation, who would like to make more complex simulation models, than the standard Plant Simulation dialog settings allow by default
  • Service providers, who would like to implement some user configurable logic in their models, without allowing the users to change the source code of methods
  • Students and academic institutes, where more important to focus on learning manufacturing simulation, than to focus on learning programming

As the syntax of SmartTalk is same as Simtalk syntax, it could be a good starting point to learn the programming of Plant Simulation. Some unique tools like Function Browser or Conditional Flow could be useful not only for beginners, but also for experts with many years Plant Simulation experience.

SmartTalk is available in the following languages: English, German, Hungarian
