Paragon hosts global distributor conference in the UK

March 25, 2014 -- Paragon Software Systems brought together global logistics representatives from one of the world’s leading Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) operators last week for a three-day best practice user conference at the Wotton House Hotel located in Dorking, Surrey, UK.

Organised by Martin Brower UK, the conference focused on how these distributors can get the most from Paragon’s routing and scheduling solutions, and reviewed new functionality due to be introduced in upcoming software updates.  Representatives from Martin Brower, HAVI Logistics and Golden State Foods attended from all corners of the globe with individuals travelling from France, Brazil, the US, Asia Pacific and Central Europe to take part in the three day conference.

In North America alone, Martin Brower’s distribution centres use Paragon for the daily routing of multi-frequency deliveries to more than 6,000 customers, supplying individual restaurants with all their frozen, chilled and ambient goods, packaging, cleaning products and ancillaries. HAVI Logistics has implemented Paragon in 10 countries across Europe as well as in China.

While all these distributors use Paragon’s advanced routing and scheduling solution, they use it in different ways and realise different benefits.  Some have moved up to the next level by implementing Fleet Controller, which links routing and scheduling with vehicle tracking.

“We were delighted to welcome representatives from all over the world who came together to learn from each other and from our experienced team,” said William Salter, Managing Director, Paragon. “The aim of the conference was twofold. Firstly, it provided an opportunity for the distributors to share with each other their experiences with the Paragon solution, how they use it and how it benefits their distribution operations.  Secondly, it would enable all these distributors to adopt best practices globally.”

“The Paragon global conference brought together the best Paragon / transportation ‘super users’ from seven different countries around the world,” said Peter Holdsworth, Head of Scheduling, Martin Brower UK. “The sharing of global deployments, operations, daily route optimisation and ongoing collaborations will enhance the knowledge of all the group, improve efficiencies while reducing our carbon footprint and raise our skillset to a truly world class level.”
