Esterline Selects Aras PLM Platform for Enterprise Product Lifecycle Management

Aras Selected for Scalability, Flexibility and Robustness of Configuration and Change Management for Complex Electromechanical Systems

ANDOVER, Mass. and Munich, Germany – August 21, 2013Aras®, the leading enterprise open source Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software solution provider, today announced that Esterline Korry, a division of Esterline Corporation, headquartered in Bellevue Washington, has selected Aras as the enterprise PLM platform. Esterline Korry chose Aras for scalability, flexibility and robustness of the functionality for configuration and change management of complex electromechanical systems with integrated requirements management, program management, risk management and quality compliance.

Aras will manage the entire product development process, including engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM), manufacturing Bill of Materials routing (MBOM), EBOM-to-MBOM transformation, documents, drawings, multi-discipline requirements, specifications and other systems information. Enterprise change management workflows control the release and update of PLM data across the lifecycle.

Fully integrated with Infor Syteline ERP, Aras will replace a number of legacy systems over time including the existing PDM system. Directly integrated with CAD for work-in-process designs, Aras provides Esterline Korry with stage-gate program management and product risk FMEAs, inspection and test control plans, and Corrective/ Preventative Actions (CAPA) for a comprehensive PLM backbone.
