The gratest geospatial event in Latin America will be held in the next week

MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica 2013 receives the Brazilian and the International community

Curitiba, June 10, 2013 - MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica 2013, Conference and Trade Fair of Geomatics and Geospatial Solutions (http://mundogeoconnect.com/2013/en/), will take place 18-20 June at the Frei Caneca Convention Center in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In its 3rd edition, the gratest geospatial event in Latin America will have more than 20 activities, including seminars, forums, courses, workshops and users meetings.

A major exhibition of products and services is part of MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica. In 2013, the event will feature more than 50 exhibiting companies and institutions, in addition to an exclusive space for universities, which will show their main projects and scientific innovations. Moreover, Brazil's public institutions confirmed their presence at the trade fair, such as IBGE, IBAMA, Ministry of Environment, INPE and Brazilian Army (DSG), demonstrating the advances in the management of public geospatial information.

"This year's event has several international exhibitors, with companies from India, Italy, United States, Austria, China, Portugal, Spain and Germany. In addition, 15 Brazilian universities will be present at the trade fair, "said Emerson Granemann, Director of MundoGEO. "There are professionals out of Brazil registered for visiting the exhibition and also to participate in over 20 activities, from various countries such as Mexico, Peru, Venezuela, Paraguay, Chile, Argentina, Angola and Mozambique," he added.

With subjects suggested by the geospatial community, MundoGEO#Connect 2013 will feature various activities, covering technologies and trends in the geospatial industry. On June 18, after the official opening of the event, the MegaTrends Seminar (http://mundogeoconnect.com/2013/en/palestrante/seminario-megatendencias-2/) will present the new opportunities created by the wide availability and sharing of geospatial data. This day will also feature five courses about the main demands of the geospatial professionals.

On the 2nd day the Location Intelligence Brazil (http://www.locationintelligence.net/brazil) will be held in partnership with Directions Magazine, focusing on the business applications of geographic information. In addition, there will be three seminars, three free events and the MundoGEO#Connect Awards ceremony (http://mundogeoconnect.com/2013/es/premio-mundogeoconnect-2013/top-3/), which recognizes professionals, institutions, companies and brands of the geospatial industry.

 On June 20, one of the highlights is the Geointelligence for Defense and Security Forum (http://mundogeoconnect.com/2013/en/palestrante/forum-geointeligencia-para-defesa-e-seguranca-2/), which will demonstrate how geographic information can ensure a better efficiency and reduce costs in managing the security and defense of a country, state or city. Three seminars, a workshop, a meeting, and a special event dedicated to "Lightning" presentations will complete this final day of MundoGEO#Connect 2013.
