Grenoble, France – May 22, 2013 – InfiniScale announced today that STMicroelectronics, a global semiconductor leader, has selected the innovative ICLysTM solution for process variability analysis on analog/RF IP and TCAM memory designs using the latest 32nm and 28nm technologies.
ICLysTM is a major technology breakthrough for advanced-technology variability-impact analysis. ICLys provides a unique Fast Monte Carlo analysis that speeds up Brute Monte Carlo (MC) analysis up to 50times while guaranteeing the same accuracy. Its powerful High-sigma analysis provides very fast and highly accurate yield estimation and has the capability to identify design failures where classical approaches do not allow getting any results within an acceptable timeframe. The capability of ICLysTM to manage a huge number of parameters allows the analysis of the effects of both global and local device variations with environment parameters, including voltages, and temperature.
“This is a major step for InfiniScale. We are really very pleased by STMicroelectronics’ adoption of our solution for process variability analysis,” said Dr. Firas Mohamed, founder and CEO of InfiniScale. “Resulting from a very close collaboration with different design teams at STMicroelectronics, ICLysTM is a real technology breakthrough able to handle the very challenging issues of advanced technologies. ICLysTM innovative Fast Monte Carlo analysis delivers a new standard in Monte Carlo simulation where its high-sigma analysis is unique by providing fast and highly accurate yield estimation exceeding classical and known approaches.”
“With the high-variability phenomenon appearing below 40nm technology nodes, ICLysTM can contribute to improving the process-variability exploration for our FD-SOI technologies while providing a very significant cost reduction to statistical verifications by simulation,” said Jean-Paul Morin, AMS/RF CAD flow manager at STMicroelectronics.
ICLysTM offers a non-intrusive EDA tool for customer’s design flows, using designer’s own golden spice simulators and loading directly the process design kit and Spice-like Netlist without any modifications. A very simple user interface allows for intuitive usage of the tool for an immediate benefit to design productivity, reliability and robustness.
With ICLysTM, InfiniScale becomes the provider of innovative variability-aware design solutions for Analog, RF and Memory analysis, generating major yield improvements on IPs and ICs.
