CCE Broadens Operating System Support to include Mac OS

CAD-Independent Read and Write libraries to work with Mac OS and soon, Linux

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (March 12, 2013) - CCE, a leader in advanced interoperability technology, announced its updated interop libraries will support Mac OS in addition to Windows 32 & 64-bit platforms. Currently, the libraries for Mac OS are being distributed to internal teams and general availability is slated for April 1, 2013.

“Our customers requested us to update our interop libraries to support the Mac OS and this is our way of responding to their request in short order,” said CCE’s V.P. of Sales & Marketing Vinay Wagle. “Expanding the platform support to Mac OS and soon Linux, is proof we’re a customer driven organization.”

Besides Mac OS support, CCE is also working on extending support for Linux, which is scheduled to be available in Q2, 2013.

“Our interop technology is used by some of the top ISV’s in the CAx space, who in turn develop end-user 3D CAD importers and exporters deployed by the world’s leading engineering organizations,” said Wagle. “We estimate that CCE interoperability technology is used in 2 out of every 5 desktop CAx products operating worldwide.”
CCE is the only independent interop provider in the world that produces robust libraries for developing comprehensive bi-directional data translation capability. The technology can be used for enhancing the ability of an application to read and write multiple CAD formats, therefore reaching out to a wider customer base. File formats currently supported include CATIA V4, CATIA V5, CATIA V6, NX, SolidWorks, Pro/E (Creo), JT, Solid Edge, Parasolid, IGES, STEP and 3D PDF. Applications developed using CCE’s interoperability technology is independent of any form of CAD software or licensing.

“We pride ourselves in providing the best and most advanced interoperability technology in the marketplace. Our customer base is a testament to the quality of technology and level of support we deliver,” Wagle added.
