For example, glass offers inherent barrier properties, low surface roughness, processing chemical compatibility, and thermal and dimensional stability. Recent demonstrations have highlighted the benefits of flexible glass-not only for electronic device performance-but also for roll-to-roll and sheet-based device fabrication as well. This section of the short course will focus on: 1) recent flexible glass progress for electronic applications, 2) methods to maintain mechanical reliability, and 3) adjacent ecosystem technologies required to fully optimize high-performance flexible electronic devices.
