WorkNC tips and tricks seminars tour the USA (SESCOI)

August 01, 2012 Sescoi has been holding a series of free WorkNC CADCAM tips and tricks seminars in the USA for users and potential new customers. The small, select sessions give engineers the chance to receive one-to-one attention from Sescoi’s engineers and learn a few smart techniques which will make CNC programming of complex shapes easier, improving productivity through automation and increased machine utilization.

Recent venues include Southfield, Michigan; Grand Rapids, Michigan; Akron, Ohio; Columbus, Indiana; and Berea, Kentucky.

Topics include the basics and workflow of Feature Recognition, which is ideal for the automatic programing of parts with a large number of holes or pockets directly from the CAD data, methods for optimizing high-speed machining and high volume roughing, and tips for improving surface finishes. WorkNC produces CNC programs virtually automatically, but these techniques will enable engineers to get the best from the CADCAM software and implement productivity improvements, such as lights-out and 5-axis machining, with confidence.

Sescoi works in collaboration with its customers and is keen to share its experience with engineers to improve skill levels throughout the industry. The series of events provide an ideal learning opportunity for companies, helping them to boost productivity and maximize return on investment.

To get the most from the seminars, delegates bring a WorkNC Workzone with them so that the Sescoi engineers can offer advice tailored to their exact requirements.

For companies unable to get to one of the sessions, free WorkNC tips and tricks are available online and on subscription. Alternatively, dedicated training courses are always scheduled.
