After the success of the portable measurement study in 2011 are you ready for the 2012 challenge?

We cordially invite you to participate in a study that will be coordinated by the National Physical Laboratory (UK) and Metrologic assisted by members of the CMS Certification Committee. All attendees are encouraged to participate in this daily practical testing activity which will provide a hands-on challenge irrespective of your experience with large volume measurement systems.

The purpose of the measurement study is to evaluate the appropriateness and importance of practical testing including the measurement strategies and behaviors of coordinate metrologists.

The objectives of the 2012 measurement study are to engage with the CMSC community in the practical methodology required to support certified operators and programmers. In addition the participants will be asked to evaluate the appropriateness of the tasks in relation to the examination being piloted at CMSC 2012. There will only be 150 places available with sign-up sheets available for participants to reserve their spot.

Program:
Day 1 & 2: Tuesday 17th & Wednesday 18th
Practical
Testing Participants will engage in ‘hands on’ measurements.

Day 3: Thursday 19th
Workshop
to evaluate the practical tasks linked to the behaviors of coordinate metrologists.
