Lebanon, NH, March 20, 2012: BroadMap, a leading Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data, services and solutions provider, today announced the successful completion of their March 1, 2012 Form 477 geocoding deliverables for their broadband service provider clients. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) requires every broadband service provider to report their coverage of high speed internet access twice a year in a specific format. This deliverable was the first to require use of Census 2010 data as part of the reporting.  BroadMap’s enhanced geocoding engine allowed the providers to meet the Census 2012 requirement.

BroadMap’s Geocoding Service matches clients’ address data to multiple levels of geography including address points, points of interest, street addresses, ZIP+4 and ZIP+2 centroids, and ZIP code. BroadMap leverages its MapConnect Geocoding engine to power its robust geocoding service. MapConnect Geocoding allows customers to append the core geocoding data with such information as latitude/longitude, census blocks and tracts, matched addresses and any additional geographic data that is pertinent and available.
