Customer Collaboration Contributes to Exceptional 2011 Success for Viewpoint Construction Software

PORTLAND, Ore. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — March 1, 2012 — Viewpoint Construction Software’s successful completion of 2011 has provided the financial base for increasing its rate of investment in products, staff and business infrastructure. Closing the books on a busy year, the company reported revenues topping $40M, reflecting a 47% growth over 2010 levels.

Viewpoint reinforced its commitment to collaboration in 2011 by conducting a number of focus groups and increasing customer interactions throughout the year. The firm’s collaborative strategy was a major contributor to its ability to deliver robust new product releases and services - translating to customer confidence and record triple digit customer growth in 2011. These included an industry-proven Cloud computing platform, completely re-tooling Project Management with an intuitive dashboard interface called Work Centers, and an all new Work Order Management system.

Described as ‘a highly efficient solution for managing small job work orders and enhancing data visibility,’ Work Order Management was built utilizing customer discussions and feedback. Steve De Benedetto, Director of IT for Stansell Electric Company and an early adopter of Work Order Management, says, “With the Work Centers dashboard view in the module, our people are able to work in the software in a way they are comfortable due to the configurability of the user interface found in Viewpoint V6 Software.”

Viewpoint saw new customer growth across all size ranges, but did cross a major threshold in 2011 becoming the most used mission critical ERP software within the ENR400 list of US contractors.

Viewpoint’s 2011 success was not just product-based. Long range investments in staffing, with a 25% increase in development, product QA and customer support ensured it was prepared to handle the growth. In preparation for more planned growth in 2012, the company continues hiring across most departments to ensure high levels of customer support is available in all areas of the business. “We are very pleased that our products and services are being well received in the contemporary construction market,” notes Jay Haladay, Viewpoint CEO. “These higher revenue levels have allowed us to invest in every facet of our business to continue serving our customers and the market with solid products and services.” He added, “Viewpoint staff levels have increased from 160 to over 230 between January 2010 and January 2012. Most of the staffing increases were in customer-facing positions like support and professional services.”

Moving forward in 2012, Viewpoint is uniquely positioned to capitalize on the construction industry’s rebound with exciting, feature-rich products to remain the momentum leader with U.S., Canadian and Australian contractors continuing to migrate to Viewpoint.
