GTG’s MapNimbus Unique Cloud Based GIS Public Access Portal adds New Users and Functionality

January 09, 2012 -- Geographic Technologies Group (GTG) is pleased to announce new MapNimbus clients.  Lumberton, NC has implemented MapNimbus to track crime and sex offenders.  Missouri City, TX has implemented the technology for code enforcement cases. MapNimbus users can quickly view posted activity in their area and
receive notifications for events within a selected distance from a point of interest.  GTG’s president Curt Hinton points out, “Hosting GIS data in the cloud has been a positive advancement for our clients.  The ease of use of MapNimbus has allowed local governments to provide online GIS services that are a step ahead of most sites.  The ability to auto-notify interested citizens is critical and is becoming expected by the computer savvy citizen.”
