GeoSpatial Experts Introduces Enterprise Licensing in GPS-Photo Link 5.1

November 04, 2011 -- In response to the growing number of large organizations incorporating geotagged photos into their daily workflows, GeoSpatial Experts has introduced Enterprise and Floating Licenses in the latest release of GPS-Photo Link photo mapping software. In addition, GPS-Photo Link 5.1 offers improved large project management capabilities and enhanced reporting functionality.

In GPS-Photo Link 5.1, GeoSpatial Experts enhanced the software licensing options to accommodate organizations that use geotagged photos for data collection across the nation or around the world. The Enterprise License allows an organization to buy a single license that can be easily managed among many end users. The Floating License provides multiple users with access to the photo mapping software on different computers. Both options include automatic software check-in and check-out.

“We are excited to offer the new licensing options which offer flexibility to customers of any size while directly meeting the enterprise needs of large corporate and government organizations,” said GeoSpatial Experts President and CEO Rick Bobbitt.

Version 5.1 now offers customers the ability to create reports using their own custom maps from ArcGIS server or ArcMap, ArcGIS static maps, Google Terrain maps, and the standard Google and Bing maps. New map caching allows the reports to be created more quickly than ever and there is increased flexibility in formatting PDF and Word reports.

Another new addition in GPS-Photo Link 5.1 is the ability to create multiple templates for data processing and report generation. Designed to simplify project management, the new functionality allows users to set up standardized processing parameters and output specifications in a template. Saved templates can be emailed to field crews who can just select the template, choose the photos to process and then hit one button to create consistent photo mapping reports and output. On the input side, the software can now geotag RAW and TIFF photo formats. A full list of enhancements can be found on the GeoSpatial Experts website.

In conjunction with the release of GPS-Photo Link 5.1, GeoSpatial Experts is now offering enterprise licensing for GeoJot, their smartphone app that turns an iOS smartphone into a photo-based field data collection tool. The app, which will soon be available for Android, allows iPhone and iPad 2 users to enter attribute descriptions (name, condition, value, etc) and attach them to photographs as they are taken. In addition, the application geotags photos with GPS coordinates that are more accurate than is standard for these devices.

Together, enterprise licenses of GPS-Photo Link and GeoJot empower organizations to leverage the latest smartphone technology, turning the phones that everyone carries into a data collection device to drive better decision making. This package is perfect for an organization with large field crews that doesn’t have the time or money to purchase or train staff to use high-end data collection devices.

Introduced in 2001, GPS-Photo Link is the industry standard software for mapping photographs.  The software is able to map photographs and accompanying attribute information captured with a GPS camera, smartphone with GPS, or any digital camera used in conjunction with any GPS unit.  Digital map output includes Esri shapefiles and geodatabases as well as Google Earth files. The software allows users to clean their data and create customized output for data sharing and compliance reporting including watermarked photos and reports in a variety of formats.

Applications of photo-mapping software span the full spectrum of business users whose jobs require accurate photographic documentation of objects and features at a specific place and time including disaster response, infrastructure assessment, asset management, engineering, land management, and utility mapping. To place an order, visit the company web site at www.GeoSpatialExperts.com.
