In August, Calypto announced the Catapult® C Synthesis product from Mentor Graphics would become part of Calypto creating the first company that has HLS, formal equivalence checking and automatic power optimization under one umbrella. The combination of these technologies positions Calypto to be the first company capable of delivering a robust ESL hardware implementation flow to the mainstream ASIC designer.

Prior to his position and 18 years at Mentor, Shawn worked for Motorola for 8 years. He has a B.S. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 1986.
