New advanced applications from WorkNC CAD CAM previewed at EMO (SESCOI)

September 15, 2011 - Sescoi will be demonstrating WorkNC V21, the latest version of its automated CADCAM software, and previewing WorkNC’s new advanced applications at EMO, Hannover in Hall 25, booth K17. The company’s productivity experts will also be on hand to demonstrate new functionality available in V4 of its WorkPLAN ERP and job management systems and its award winning high-speed 3D viewer, WorkXPlore 3D.

Sescoi’s engineers will be demonstrating the WorkNC Laser hardening, welding, trimming and polishing applications, WorkNC’s new Machine Limit Management, and offering an exclusive preview of the all new WorkNC Stamping functionalities –easy to use, high performance, flat surface roughing and finishing specifically for press tools.

V21, the latest available version of WorkNC, is currently being rolled out around the globe. This is the first version to include parallel processing and multi-threading, enabling WorkNC to take advantage of the latest multi-processor computers with up to eight CPUs, producing speed improvements of up to 10 times for programming, toolpath calculation and CAD mani-pulation.

The full capabilities of WorkNC will be proven out by the LIVE milling of a spectacular showcase part (see image) on the Sescoi booth on a Deckel Maho HSC 55 Linear machine tool. Other showcase parts, including the iconic WorkNC Robot Head popular on Facebook®, will be on display.

Sescoi’s CAD experts will be on the Sescoi booth to demonstrate the enhanced CAD manipulation enabled by WorkNC-CAD Hybrid Modeling, which allows solid and surface models to be handled in a single environment. Tasks such as core and cavity separation, surface repair and Boolean operations are now easy to perform, making working with imported CAD files simpler than ever. For electrode manufacture, WorkNC Electrode uses the capabilities of its new hybrid modeling to extract electrode geometry and combine this with a library of holders to produce the finished electrode. Coordinate systems carried through the complete manufacturing process ensure the correct positioning of electrodes during the die sinking process.

Included in Version 4 of Sescoi’s WorkPLAN ERP and job management solutions are customer relationship management functionality, and both detailed and simplified planning methodology. The latter is important for custom manufacturers, where details of the manufacturing processes are unknown or unnecessary at the planning stage. Other enhancements include the ability to operate via the web, an enhanced graphical user interface and new functions for controlling the batch production of parts.

To encourage efficient collaborative and concurrent working, Sescoi will be demonstrating the latest developments in its WorkXPlore 3D high-speed 3D viewer. This powerful, full-featured viewer is being increasingly adopted by airlines (ANA) and automotive OEMs (Volkswagen).

By visiting Sescoi’s booth, engineers and managers will be able to witness how automated and integrated software can have a positive impact on business productivity and efficiency, vital in today’s competitive environment.
