TerraGo® Releases Modular Software Development Kit for Custom Enterprise Geospatial Applications

SDK enables enterprises to integrate GeoPDF® and geospatial collaboration applications; Hitachi Solutions first to adopt

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) June 21, 2011

TerraGo® Technologies, an innovative provider of widely adopted geospatial collaboration software, has released the TerraGo SDK (software development kit), a set of software development modules for partners and enterprises to easily and quickly integrate custom TerraGo GeoPDF® and geospatial collaboration applications.

TerraGo Technologies geospatial collaboration software and GeoPDF maps and imagery are among the most popular solutions to produce, access, update and share geospatial information with anyone, anywhere. With the TerraGo SDK, enterprises can now more rapidly respond to their customers’ demands for delivering geospatial applications based on GeoPDF solutions. The SDK modules and other TerraGo software applications are complementary and easy to integrate into enterprise GIS workflows.

Hitachi Solutions, Ltd., the TerraGo distributor in Japan and East Asia and a joint development partner, is the first company to adopt the SDK for the integration of GeoPDF functionality within its GIS and geospatial offerings.

“We are in the process of implementing advanced TerraGo functionality within our GeoMation® GIS platform,” said Koji Ueda, department manager, Location Intelligence Systems Department at Hitachi Solutions. “The SDK will help accelerate our ability to provide GeoPDF-enabled applications to our customers so that they may better respond to their critical geospatial collaboration challenges.”

GeoMation is an enterprise GIS product of Hitachi Solutions with a track record of more than 25 years in client/server and Web-GIS implementations. It has been mainly adopted by major electric power supply companies in Japan.

“Our partners such as Hitachi Solutions as well as our enterprise customers have been requesting more flexibility to develop custom GeoPDF applications,” said Richard McKay, senior vice president of sales and business development at TerraGo. “SDK answers this need; its modular implementation enables enterprises to speed custom GeoPDF and geospatial collaboration application creation and integration.”
