Satellite Imagery: Kyiv 8 March 2022

Although poor weather and heavy cloud-cover continues to obscure our view over much of Ukraine yesterday (March 8, 2022) and over the past week, Maxar did collect new satellite imagery in and around Kyiv that reveals ongoing military activity as well as some of the recent damage caused by airstrikes and artillery shelling. While clouds largely covered the area where the extensive military convoy was last seen on our imagery, armored vehicles and equipment can be seen maneuvering to the northeast and southwest of Antonov Airport (near Hostomel, Ukraine). Nearby, people are leaving from Irpin near the damaged bridge over the Irpin River. Multiple bomb craters are visible in the fields and surrounding area.
