PLM Delivery Survey will improve PLM adoption

Oxford, England. July 09 2015 -- After more than a decade of learning about and adopting PLM, there is still no easy way for Users to specify what they want from their implementation; nor for Providers to demonstrate that they will be able to deliver it.

The question of "What do we get when we buy PLM?" has been left unanswered for too long. The PLM industry needs a straightforward, neutral, structure that will show what "Delivering PLM" really means.

In order to understand what that structure should be, the PLMIG will carry out a global Survey into PLM Delivery in the next few weeks. The results will be used to structure a 3-day face-to-face industry event in October.

The October event will define an agreed PLM Delivery structure that can be used internationally, in all types of PLM user enterprise. This will inspire confidence in the adoption programme, and fast track the approval process. When everyone can move faster, more PLM gets adopted, the benefits appear earlier, and PLM can penetrate deeper into the heart of the business.

More information about the PLM Delivery initiative can be found at the PLMIG web site or via Email Contact.
