Rocket Software to Present at Siemens PLM Connection 2016

Discuss best practices for migration of Teamcenter organizational data at Booth #105

WALTHAM, Mass., May 17, 2016 — (PRNewswire) —   Rocket Software today announced that it will participate in the Siemens PLM Connection 2016 conference, May 16-19 in Orlando. The Rocket team will showcase its Rocket TRUfusion Enterprise solution, highlighting new, more efficient approaches to securely managing and exchanging large volumes of intellectual property, including customer-supplied CAD files, videos of product prototypes and product development plans.

Martyn Davies, Director of Product Management at Rocket Software, will give a hands-on demonstration entitled, "Approaches for Tier 1 Suppliers to Manage Customer-Supplied CAD Data," focusing on:

  • More efficiently managing the exchange of large volume of customer files when engaged in collaborative product design activities
  • How to manage customer- supplied CAD data in the supplier's own Teamcenter environment
  • How to return CAD data (e.g. CATIA V5, NX) to the customer in a way that will comply with the customer's requirements for naming, revisioning, and metadata so it can be loaded easily into their PLM system
  • How to ensure the quality of the incoming and outgoing CAD data by automating CAD quality checking software (e.g. Q-Checker for CATIA V5, HQM for NX)
  • How to map and manage key metadata from the CAD files, while also accommodating the customer's unique Teamcenter naming and metadata conventions

Conference attendees can also meet Rocket team members at Booth #105 on the show floor to discuss specifics of migrating their own organizational data with Teamcenter.
