Teledyne to Acquire Quantum Data

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — April 13, 2016 — Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE: TDY) (“Teledyne”) announced today that Teledyne LeCroy, Inc. has entered into an agreement to acquire the assets of Quantum Data, Inc. (“Quantum Data”). Quantum Data, headquartered in Elgin, Illinois, provides electronic test & measurement instrumentation and is a market leader in video protocol analysis test tools. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The closing of the transaction, which is subject to customary conditions, is anticipated to occur in April 2016.

Protocol analyzers are used by engineers to troubleshoot data communication systems and test device interoperability, compliance and interference. Quantum Data provides signal generators and protocol analyzers, as well as other test tools, for a range of digital video technologies, including High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI®), Serial Digital Interface (SDI) and DisplayPort. Quantum Data serves a broad range of global customers in the semiconductor, broadcast, electronics and aerospace and defense industries.
